The BELvue Museum offers a theme-based tour covering Belgium and its history. BELvue chooses to introduce Belgium in seven themes: Democracy, prosperity, solidarity, pluralism, migration, language and Europe. Through modern, visually-pleasing and interactive scenography, visitors learn about the “flat country”, its history, its culture and its specificities.
Coming to the Coudenberg Palace, you will enjoy an underground tour discovering the palace of Charles V. You will discover the Rue Isabelle and the old structures of the main buildings of the former palace of Brussels, which are now the foundations for today’s royal district and other fascinating structures with their own stories dated all the way to the 12th century.
The Choco-Story Brussels is the result of an encounter between two families who were passionate about the world of cocoa and chocolate. Visitors will have the chance to learn all about the origins and the making of this precious commodity and taste a variety of the finest chocolate samples.
At the heart of this neighbourhood, the Leon restaurant, temple of mussels and chips, has been in existence for more than 100 years.

Renovated from the 17th century, the Museum of Folk Life presents a simulation of a village at the time with a classroom, a millinery, a pharmacy, a confectionery shop, a grocery shop, etc. The upper floor is used for temporary exhibitions. You can relax in the museum inn, 'De Zwarte Kat' (The Black Cat) or in the garden, where you can try out traditional folk and children's games on the terrace.
Take a tour through the wondrous world of beer at the Halve Maan brewery. The brewery tour will show you where and how beer has been brewed and how it’s currently brewed. Once you’ve arrived at the top of the brewery, there’s a 360 view of Bruges for you to enjoy. When you’ve descended along some kettles and barrels, you’ll be treated to a delicious, unfiltered, ‘Brugse Zot Blond’.
The Liberty of Bruges functioned as a court of justice between 1795 and 1984. Today the city archives are stored here. They safeguard Bruges’ written memory. The ticket includes a visit to Bruges’ City Hall, which is one of the oldest in the Low Countries. It is from here that the city has been governed for more than 600 years. Several authentic works of art and documents of the city are displayed in the museums.
Bourgogne des Flandres plays a very special role in the Belgian beer heritage. It is a typical example of the Flemish beer blending tradition with old and young beer being mixed judiciously to achieve a perfect balance.
